Ian Scott is a sculptor and furniture designer based in New York City. Working predominately in mobile art, Ian incorporates collected natural objects like flowers, pebbles, sticks, bark, moss and lichen into contemporary art that moves as it interacts with the air.

His art calls attention to the intricate design of nature through juxtaposition with harsh materials like iron and steel, and through presenting these objects in new formats to the viewer, often hanging or balancing precariously overhead.

Originally from Kentucky, Ian has lived and worked in New York since 2023.
